I have a Fine Art degree from Kingston, 1981, specialised at that time in painting and building environments. I have exhibited several times at the Mandela and the Arnhem Galleries in London.
I have always worked in the creative field. When I first started out, I was fortunate enough to work in the film and TV industry in special effects. I have helped create costumes for Starlight Express, transformed people into werewolves with prosthetic makeup and even worked as an animatronics creative on the film ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ at Pinewood studios.
After quite a break, I have now returned to painting from my studio which is based near Hay on Wye. My new series of works involves using a whole variety of materials: metal leaf, metal powders, resin, inks and acrylic paint to create semi abstract paintings that have echoes of the Welsh landscape.
