I was living with Inuit hunter friends in N.W.Greenland in 2005. They were hunting polar bear and seal amongst the broken sea ice. Old ice, from glaciers, was embedded within the frozen surface of the sea. The forms were smoothed by the action of the wind and snow and many spherical forms were spread around our camp on the ice. This form, named after the nearby settlement, was inspired by the slowly disappearing beauty of that ice.
