Meet Brent Blair
Art has been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember. After studying Fine Art at Kingston, my creative career has taken me in a number of directions, from working in film and television special effects to becoming a practising artist and, ultimately, founding The Lion Street Gallery.
More than sixteen years ago, I opened The Lion Street Gallery with a simple ambition: to create a welcoming and inspiring space where people could discover exceptional contemporary art and enjoy the experience of collecting it.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working closely with many talented Welsh and British artists whose work continues to surprise and inspire me. I am particularly drawn to artists who have developed their own distinctive voice and whose work demonstrates originality, craftsmanship and an emotional connection with landscape, light and the natural world.
As both an artist and gallery owner, I understand how important it is to find artwork that speaks to you personally. Buying original art should never feel intimidating or exclusive. Whether you are purchasing your first painting or adding to an established collection, I believe it should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
One of the pleasures of running an independent gallery is getting to know our visitors and collectors. Many have become friends over the years, returning regularly to discover new work and exhibitions. Helping someone find a piece of art that they will live with and enjoy for decades is still one of the most satisfying parts of what I do.
The Lion Street Gallery reflects my own passion for contemporary art and my belief that great artwork enriches our lives. Every artist represented by the gallery has been carefully selected, and every exhibition has been curated with care and enthusiasm.

Conditions of Sale for The Lion Street Gallery
Pricing
- All prices are listed in UK pounds sterling and are subject to change without notice. Prices do not include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Payment Terms
- Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase. We accept these payment methods: Cash, credit/debit cards, Bacs transfer. We don’t accept American Express.
Delivery Terms
- Artwork can be picked up in person at our gallery or shipped to the buyer's address. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer and will be calculated at the time of purchase.
- Delivery timelines will vary based on location and method of shipping; we will provide an estimated delivery date at the time of purchase.
Returns and Refunds
- All sales are final after a period of 7 days from the date of purchase. However, if the artwork is damaged during shipping, please contact us within 7 days for a possible exchange or refund.
- Custom or commissioned pieces are non-refundable.
Warranties and Guarantees
- We guarantee that all artworks are original and created by the listed artist. All artworks will come with a Certificate of Authenticity and a biography of the artist at the time of sale.
Liabilities
- The Lion Street Gallery is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the sale or use of any artwork. Buyers should inspect their purchases upon receipt.
Governing Law
- These conditions of sale shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the UK.

The Lion Street Gallery has a small ramp at the front door, there are three connected rooms, the first, and largest, is all on one level, the other two spaces are accessed by one step and two steps respectively with handrails
